22/02/15 - Cloud Atlas win CRS Award

We are pleased and very proud to report that we have won the Best Newcomer award at last night's Classic Rock Society awards ceremony!

Beyond The Vale was a real labour of love for us, and we are delighted to see it, and the band, receive this stamp of approval from the CRS and everyone who's been listening to our music. Huge thanks from us all to everyone who voted - it really does mean a great deal to us and we hope to reward you in the months ahead with more new music and an increased number of live shows. Booking and organising live shows can be a challenge for new bands on any number of levels, so anything that helps to increase our profile makes all the difference.

2015 is off to a fantastic start for us. Here's to a great year ahead, and we hope to see as many of you as possible at the upcoming shows!

26/10/14 - New gig at The Brickmakers, Norwich

You wanted it to happen - and thanks for your patience and support while we re-organised the show - and we are thrilled that we have managed to finalise our previously postponed date at The Brickmakers, Norwich! We'll be playing at B2 on the 29th November, so get your dancing shoes on and come along to hear the Beyond The Vale material and who knows what else. It's going to be great evening, we can just feel it!

We don't have a link for tickets just yet, but keep an eye on our gigs page, which we will update with ticketing info the moment we have it.

06/10/14 - Lifesigns support

We're delighted to report that we will be supporting the wonderful Lifesigns next year, when they play Fibbers on 14th February - that's Valentine's Day, folks! What better gift could there be for your loved one than to buy them a ticket for a great evening of music with like-minded rock fans? To ease the strain on your mouse (and your mouse hand) there is a link to information about the gig over on our gigs page.

Also, don't forget that our seasonal pre-Christmas shindig is drawing closer every day! Tickets have been selling well, but you can still pick up tickets via our gigs page: at a mere £10 for our set and a set from the brilliant Winter In Eden too, you'd have to be mad not to! O Come All Ye Faithful! Take a well-deserved rest from your Christmas shopping and help us celebrate an amazing (if challenging) year!

15/09/14 - Maltby Gig Postponed

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times", as Dickens would have it. Unfortunately we've had to postpone our gig at The Wesley Centre in Maltby that was scheduled for Saturday 20th September. We are very disappointed to have to postpone the gig at this late stage - we were really looking forward to this one! Our apologies to anyone who was looking forward to the show as much as we were - but please note that the show has not been cancelled, merely postponed until next year. We will of course let you know the moment we have a new date for the show.

This means our next show will also be our last this year: our special Christmas show at Fibbers on December 13th! You can pick up tickets via our gigs page: please don your tinsel and bring your best singing voices along for what promises to be a great night as we celebrate the close of what has been a real rollercoaster of a year for us all! We will be supported by our great friends Winter In Eden too, so we're certain a great time will be had by all! We hope to see you there.

26/06/14 - Album Launch Gig Moved

With apologies for the eleventh hour nature of this announcement, we have some important news: we've had to change the venue for our album launch show and fundraiser this weekend (Saturday 28th). We are working to let as many ticket holders know about the change of venue as possible, but we'd be grateful if as many of you as possible can help spread the word!

There follows a statement from the management of Fibbers, the original venue:

Due to some particularly difficult rent negotiations with the landlord this week, Fibbers is still temporarily closed so this weekend’s shows are moving to sister venue TOKYO on Toft Green (behind Micklegate). The good news is it's still the same super-cool live music venue feel with a large stage, big noisy boxes to assault your lugs and flashing lights to make it look all rock ‘n’ roll and that. But BIGGER and with MUCH better viewing, lots of seating, easier parking and access from the station and still in the city centre. Result, really. All you gotta do is make your way over Ouse Bridge, hang a right at Popworld down George Hudson Street and after 100 metres take the first left at Salvation to go up Tanner Row/Toft Green; we’re near the top. Five mninutes. What could be easier.

13/02/14 - Album Launch Gig

We have just confirmed details of our special album launch gig! It will take place on the 28th June 2014 at Fibbers in York, UK and we would be delighted to see you there! You can gain free entry by pre-ordering the album, or if you prefer, you can purchase a ticket from the venue website. If you book tickets direct, half of the cost of your ticket will go to the Leeds Children's Transplant Team - so you get to see the launch gig and help a very worthy cause at the same time.

If you've not pre-ordered our album, Beyond The Vale, yet (and why not?), don't forget that we've put together a teaser video to whet your appetite! You can find the video on our media page.

23/01/14 - Cloud Atlas confirmed for Cambridge Rock Festival

Yes, you read that correctly! We are very excited to confirm that we have been invited to play a set at the Cambridge Rock Festival this year. Some of you will no doubt remember that the Cambridge Rock Festival has already seen triumphant performances from Heidi's previous bands Breathing Space and Stolen Earth, so we're well pleased to be upholding a tradition!

Currently we are scheduled to play on the Sunday (time to be confirmed), although this is subject to change. Links to the festival website and to buy tickets for the weekend - and a thoroughly enjoyable weekend it is too! - can be found on our gigs page.

20/10/13 - Debut Album Available For Pre-Order

Copies of the first Cloud Atlas album, Beyond The Vale, are now available to pre-order via our webstore.

Pre-orders include:

  • Your name in the album's inlay booklet
  • A signed copy of the album, delivered in advance of the release date
  • A signed photo
  • An invitation to the album's launch gig (date and venue to be confirmed)

£1 of the proceeds from the sale of each copy of the album will be donated to the Leeds Children's Transplant Team in memory of Joel Malyon.

We've been busy writing, arranging, and recording demos of our new songs in readiness for hitting the studio shortly to begin recording - exciting times! We're very proud of our new material and can't wait to share it all with you.

We'll be posting our thoughts on recording as it happens, but in the meantime, we've put together a teaser video to whet your appetite! You can find the video on our media page.
